Mission Statement

The Ogden Town Clerk's Office is committed to serve the people in our community with excellent customer service. My staff and I work hard to provide our residents with prompt and courteous service. We are friendly, experienced and knowledgeable and are able to help you with all your local government needs.

Taxes

The Town Clerk's Office collects tax payments for various school districts including Spencerport Central School, Churchville-Chili School and Brockport Central School. For additional information on School or Combined Town & County tax please contact our office via email or contact our Office at (585) 617-6111.

Taxes may be paid after hours via the night deposit box, located near the main Town Hall entrance, across from the flagpole on the right side of the building.  All payments will be processed with the previous business day's date.  Payments may only be made via check, with the payment stub included.  Please see drop box policies here.

You can view tax bills or print receipts on-line via the Monroe County website.

School Tax Information

Full Payments - September 1 - October 1…No Interest Due…Pay TOTAL AMOUNT of tax bill to Noelle Burley, Receiver of Taxes.

Installment Payments - All school districts accept installment payments and may be paid by following these instructions:

  • First Installment - Pay TOTAL amount including service charge, on stub #1 by September 15th to Noelle Burley, Receiver of Taxes.
  • September 16th to September 20th ADD 1% INTEREST TO TOTAL amount including service charge on stub #1 and PAY to Noelle Burley, Receiver of Taxes.
  • Providing the first installment (due 9/15) has been made properly, installments for due dates October 15th and November 15th, only are payable to Monroe County Treasury.
  • If the First Installment is NOT paid by September 20th, the installment plan is NO LONGER AVAILABLE. The full amount of the school tax bill must be paid. (See Instruction A above).


NO PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER NOVEMBER 18th

School taxes unpaid after that date, plus accrued interest and penalties, will be relevied onto the next year's Town and County tax bill.

CHECKS must be made out CORRECTLY.

NO third party CHECKS will be accepted.

Persons having a check returned to the Receiver marked INSUFFICIENT FUNDS or for ANY OTHER REASON will be charged an additional $20.00 penalty, payable before the returned check is redeposited.

Our Dropbox is located just outside the main entrance to Town Hall near the flagpole. This provides residents with the ability to make your payment even when the office is closed. Only checks or money orders are accepted in the lock box. Please include a payment stub with each check. Office staff will collect the deposits at 8:30 am during normal business days. All work removed that morning will be processed on the previous days business date.

How-to Pay Online:
1. Visit Monroe County Real Property Portal at https://www.monroecounty.gov/etc/rp/
2. Read the disclaimer than proceed by clicking "I Approve"
3. Ensure that the tab named "View Information / Pay Taxes for a Single Residential / Commercial Property" is selected at the top of the page
4. Enter your household information into the on-screen prompts
5. Select your household
6. Click "Pay Property Taxes" on the top-right of your screen
7. Click "Pay School Taxes" on the bottom-right of your screen
8. Select if you'd like to pay the "Account Total" or the "Current Installment" and then select "Pay by Credit Card"
9. Press "Continue" to proceed to entering your payment information
10. Complete the transaction by filling out your information on the on-screen prompts

Town Clerk/Receiver of Taxes Noelle Burley announced that a safe drop box will be available for Ogden residents to drop off their tax payment. The drop box is located just outside the main entrance to Town Hall near the flagpole. It is located near the library entrance on the right-hand side of the building. This drop box is to provide residents with the ability to make your payment even when the office is closed. Only checks are accepted in the drop box.  Please include a payment stub with each check. Office staff will collect the deposits at 8:30 am during normal business days. All work removed that morning will be processed on the previous days business date.  Please see the drop box policies here.  The Town Clerk’s office is open from 8:30 am – 4:00pm. Town Board meetings are held ON THE SECOND AND FOURTH WEDNESDAY OF EVERY MONTH at the Community center at 7:00pm , with a pre-meeting starting at 6:30pm.

Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Law provides rights of access to records reflective of governmental decisions and policies that affect the lives of every New Yorker. However an agency does not have to create a new document in order to provide the individual the requested information.

 A Records Access Application is filled out by the individual requesting the information. If possible, you should supply dates, titles, file designations, or any other information that will help find requested records.  Please refer to the following form for the information required to make your request and e-mail the information to:

 Within 5 business days of the receipt of a written request for a record reasonably described, the agency must make the record available, deny access in writing giving the reasons for denial, or furnish a written acknowledgment of receipt of the request and a statement of the approximate date when the request will be granted or denied.

A fee for copy of other records may be charged based upon the actual cost of reproduction.
