A local law to override the tax levy limit established by General Municipal Law Section 3-C.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Ogden will hold and conduct a public hearing upon Introductory Local Law No. 1 of the year 2026. The Town Board will hold and conduct such public hearing at the Ogden Community Center, 269 Ogden Center Road on the 9th day of September 2026 at 7:00pm at which hearing all interested persons shall be heard concerning the subject matter thereof.
The proposed Local Law proposes to allow the Town Board to adopt a budget for the fiscal year 2027 which will exceed the tax levy limit as defined by the provisions of General Municipal Law Section 3-c. The proposed budget for the fiscal year 2027 as calculated pursuant to the regulations of General Municipal Law relating to tax levy limits, will exceed the tax levy limits as calculated by the Town of Ogden if finally adopted.
All interested persons shall be heard concerning the subject matter thereof. A full and complete copy of such Local Law is presently on file in the Town Clerk’s office where it may be examined during normal business hours.
