In April 2024, the Ogden Town Board adopted a new Comprehensive Plan, the first update since 2012. A comprehensive plan is a crucial tool that articulates a community’s vision and serves as a general guide for decision-making over the next decade. This plan is vital for ensuring that future growth and development maintain the rural character of our local community while making Ogden a special place to live, work, and raise a family.

Developed by residents and for residents, the plan was crafted with input from a steering committee of local citizens and community feedback gathered through open houses, online forums, and public meetings. The new Comprehensive Plan now serves as a roadmap for our team, aligning with community-driven initiatives.

Ogden has changed substantially since the adoption of the 2012 Comprehensive Plan. The new plan will address these changes and guide us through future challenges.

“The Town of Ogden’s New Comprehensive Plan will prepare us for the future and help us navigate through these ever-changing times. We all love this community and want our new Comprehensive Plan to paint a picture of Ogden that promotes positive change while preserving the rural, quaint, and small-town feel that we know and love,” said Supervisor Mike Zale.

We encourage you to explore our Comprehensive Plan, as well as our Parks Plan and Agricultural & Farmland Protection Plan, to learn more about our goals and initiatives here in Ogden.
