October 28, 2026, marked National First Responders Day, an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the brave men and women who answer the call to serve during times of crisis.
During the October 28 meeting of the Ogden Town Board, Town Supervisor Mike Zale proudly presented a proclamation recognizing this annual observance and honoring the dedicated men and women of the Town of Ogden Police Department, Spencerport Fire District and Gates Volunteer Ambulance Service, Inc.
“Every day, these individuals stand ready to assist our community during some of life’s most difficult moments, providing help, reassurance and protection when it is needed most,” said Ogden Town Supervisor Mike Zale. “Their service extends far beyond responding to emergencies, as they also play an important role in public education, prevention efforts and community events throughout the year.
“We are incredibly fortunate to have such dedicated first responders serving our community. Thank you for your professionalism, sacrifice and unwavering commitment to keeping our residents safe!”
