HISTORICAL PHOTOS
Pathway Photos
In 2000, a group of local residents interested in preserving the history of the Town and Village got together and published a book called Images of Ogden and Spencerport. When this book was being written, a call went out to the community to share any historical photos in their possession with the book committee. Hundreds of photos poured into the library; only 250 of them were used in the book. The first year was funded through a NYS Humanities grant, with the selection of photos and research and writing of the captions done by then Monroe County Historian Dr. Carolyn Vacca and Patty Uttaro. The following years were all done by Patty when she was the Library Director. The photos and captions were printed and installed in frames that were attached to light poles throughout the Village. The frames were made by WeMoCo students.
